Neda

I found this quote by someone replying to an article about Neda Agha-Soltan, the young woman killed during a protest in Iran. Apparently, she was watching the protest. Neda's death breaks my heart. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch the video of her dying. Here's the quote that I found:

"These images transcend any affiliation. Whether you see a patriot fighting for a cause or the disgrace of a child's life stolen as a father screams in horror, it does not matter. My tears run for her blood spilled needlessly into the gutter. My heart goes out to the father who watched his child die. These people are fighting for the very core beliefs Americans claim to embrace. You want to see freedom? Look into the eyes of that young lady as she dies. That's what it's about. These people are not just a symbol to their countrymen, [sic] they are symbols to us all. The next time you use the word 'freedom', [sic] remember Neda. I will. Tonight I will tell my children about Neda and her sacrifice. Please do her the honor of telling yours."
